EVERYTHING STAYS ON THIS PHONE

There is no account. There is no server. There is no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. Your blocklist and your history are stored on your device and never leave it. The app cannot send them anywhere, because it has no internet permission at all.

ABOUT THE PERMISSION IT NEEDS

Android only lets an app see which page a browser is showing through accessibility access, so Website Blocker asks for it. It uses that access for exactly one thing: reading the address in your browser’s address bar and the name of the app you have opened, so it can compare them against your list. That comparison happens on your phone, in memory. The app does not read the content of any page, does not log what you browse, and does not transmit anything.

You can turn the permission off in Android Settings whenever you want, and the app tells you plainly when it is off, because a blocker that cannot block should not pretend otherwise.
