DoodyChat is a complete, production-ready Flutter chat application powered by Firebase and Agora. Built from a single codebase, it ships as a fully native experience on both Android and iOS — real-time one-to-one messaging, group chats, voice and video calling, status updates, and encrypted conversations, all ready to rebrand and launch as your own.

Users connect through their existing phone contacts, so there are no usernames to remember. They can share photos, videos, voice messages, documents, contacts, and their live location. Messages can be deleted for everyone or just for themselves, replied to with a simple swipe, and tracked with sent, delivered, and read receipts in real time. Groups can be created from contacts with the same rich attachment support, statuses can be shared and viewed as they happen, and every user gets a profile with a photo and an about section.

Important — External Service Costs

DoodyChat connects to Firebase and Agora, which are third-party services with their own pricing. These costs are separate from your one-time purchase of this item and are billed directly by Google and Agora based on your usage:

Firebase requires the Blaze (pay-as-you-go) plan to run Cloud Functions and Storage, which means adding a credit card. Blaze includes a generous free allowance and typically stays free for testing and small-scale use.
Agora gives 10,000 free voice/video minutes every month; you are only charged for usage beyond that free tier.
Publishing to the App Store requires a paid Apple Developer account ($99/year).

Free tiers are generous and generally cover development and low-volume use, but you are responsible for any charges these services apply as your app scales.

Because the app connects people through phone contacts (like WhatsApp), save both phone numbers above in your device’s contacts first. Then sign in as one demo user on one device and the other demo user on a second device — each will see the other in their contacts, and you can chat and call between them. Frequently Asked Questions

Does this work on both Android and iOS?
Yes. It is a single Flutter codebase that builds native apps for both platforms.

Do I need a Mac?
Only for building and publishing the iOS app. Android builds work fine on Windows or Linux.

Will Firebase and Agora cost me money?
They can, depending on usage. Firebase requires the Blaze plan (which needs a credit card) to run Cloud Functions and Storage, and Agora charges for voice/video minutes beyond its free tier of 10,000 minutes per month. Both include free allowances that usually cover testing and low-volume use. These charges are billed by Google and Agora and are separate from your purchase of this item.

Why does Firebase need the Blaze plan?
Cloud Functions (used for Agora token generation and call notifications) and Firebase Storage both require the Blaze plan — they are not available on the free Spark plan. Usage at low volume typically stays within the free allowance.

Can I change the app name, colors, and icon?
Yes. A built-in rebrand tool lets you set the app name, package ID, colors, icon, splash screen, and font from one config file.

Is there a live demo?

Is a backend or admin panel included?
The backend is Firebase, which you configure with your own account. Firebase Cloud Functions source is included. There is no separate admin panel.
