Description

Passly is a self-hosted ticketing marketplace you install on your own server. Promoters sign up, publish events and sell tickets under your brand; buyers check out without creating an account; the money splits between you and the promoter at checkout through Stripe Connect; and your staff scan the QR codes at the door even with no signal.

One platform, many promoters — you take a fee on every ticket sold.

Key Features

Marketplace, Not a Single-Event Page: Many promoters on one installation, each with their own profile, team, events, venues and books. You approve who may publish and take a platform fee on every sale.
Money That Splits Itself: Stripe Connect sends the promoter’s share straight to their account and your fee to yours, at the moment of the sale. Funds are held until the event and released on a schedule you set.
Double-Entry Ledger: Every sale, fee, refund and payout is written as two movements that sum to zero. Balances are derived from the ledger rather than stored, so a statement reconciles to the cent instead of drifting.
Check-In That Survives a Dead Signal: The gate app downloads the guest list, reads QR codes with the phone camera, refuses a second scan while completely offline, and syncs its queue when the connection returns. Per-door headcounts, staff scoped to their door.
Checkout Without an Account: Seats are held while the buyer pays, a database rule makes overselling impossible under concurrency, and the ticket arrives by email with a signed QR code and a PDF.
Four Languages, Right to Left Included: English, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic ship built in — with a genuinely mirrored layout and Arabic type, not a stylesheet flip. Any word in any language can be rewritten from the admin panel.
A Map With No Bill Attached: The home page map draws itself from map data bundled with the script: no account, no API key, nothing charged per view. Point it at Google Maps, Mapbox or MapLibre instead whenever you want streets.
Configured, Never Recompiled: Over sixty settings — branding, colours, logo, mail, payments, storage, ticket rules, plans, SEO, legal pages, map provider — all from the admin panel. Only four values live in the environment file, and the setup command writes those for you.
Installed in Two Commands and a Browser: pnpm configure offers to create a PostgreSQL database with Docker or connects to one you have, asks for the password in the terminal — never in a web form — and writes the configuration. Then a four-step wizard in the browser seeds the plans, creates your administrator account and locks itself.
Subscription Plans for Promoters: Charge your promoters a monthly plan on top of the per-ticket fee, with their own fee rules, trial periods and limits — or keep it free and take only the fee.
Marketing Built In: Coupons (percentage or fixed, per event or global), complimentary tickets with a recorded reason, waiting lists, a newsletter capture and per-event sponsor logos with linked placements.
SEO That Search Engines Read: A sitemap per language, canonical URLs, hreflang, robots control and schema.org Event markup on every event page.

How It Works

Upload the files, run pnpm configure, then finish at /install and set your brand, colours and platform fee
A promoter registers, you approve them, and they publish an event with its dates, ticket tiers and prices
Buyers find the event through search, the catalogue or the map, and check out with a card
Stripe splits the payment: the promoter’s share to them, your fee to you
Your staff open the gate app at the door and scan — with or without a connection
After the event, held funds are released and the promoter withdraws

Requirements

Server: Node.js 20 or newer and pnpm, on any host that runs a Node.js process — a VPS or a container. The manual walks through a fresh Ubuntu VPS step by step.
Database: PostgreSQL 14 or newer, or Docker so the setup command can create one for you
Payments: a Stripe account with Connect enabled, if you want card payments and automatic splits. Offline payment with manual confirmation works without one.
Email: any SMTP server, or a Resend account
Optional: an S3-compatible bucket for uploads, and a Google Maps or Mapbox account if you prefer their street maps; the built-in map and the MapLibre option need no account at all

What’s Included

Full source code — Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Drizzle ORM, Tailwind 4
Browser-based installer, database migrations and a seed with sample plans
A demo seed that fills a fresh installation with a festival, nine events, sales, attendees and door history, so you can look around before configuring anything
Complete HTML documentation: installation, hosting, Stripe setup, mail, storage, customisation, translations and troubleshooting
Four translation files (English, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic), editable from the admin panel
Docker Compose file for PostgreSQL, to run it locally in one command
Third-party licence notices ready for redistribution

Important Notes Before Buying

This is a Node.js application, not a PHP script:

It needs a host that can run a Node.js process — a VPS or a container. Classic shared hosting with PHP and MySQL only will not run it. The manual walks through a fresh Ubuntu VPS command by command: Node.js, pm2, Nginx and a free Let’s Encrypt certificate.

External services are paid separately and are not included:

The price of this item buys the software. Every external service it can connect to is optional, needs an account of your own, is billed by its provider under its own terms, and is not included with this purchase:

Stripe — card payments and automatic splits. Stripe charges a processing fee on every card payment, and Connect is subject to its country availability.
Resend — an alternative to your own SMTP server for outgoing email, priced by volume beyond its free tier.
S3-compatible storage (Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze, DigitalOcean Spaces and others) — an alternative to local disk for uploads, priced by storage and traffic.
Google Maps and Mapbox — street maps on the home page, priced per map load beyond their free allowances.

Your server or hosting plan and your domain name are also your own expense. The product runs with none of the services above: plain SMTP for email, local disk for uploads, the built-in map or MapLibre with free OpenFreeMap tiles, and offline payments confirmed by hand. We are not affiliated with any of these providers.

Photographs in the demo:

The event artwork you see in the demo is generated imagery included so the demo looks like a real festival. It is there to be replaced with photographs of your own events.

Support:

Setup: full documentation is included in the download and published online at passly.saasfy.uk/docs (HTML and PDF, with a screenshot of every screen). If you need help, please open a request through the Support tab on this item page — all customer support is handled through the official Envato item support system.
Scope: support covers the Passly application. Server administration, Stripe account approval, domain and DNS configuration, and third-party service outages are outside its scope.
Bug reports: as an independent developer I cannot offer immediate assistance. Confirmed bugs are fixed in the next scheduled update.
