Slotara is a self-hosted, multi-tenant appointment booking SaaS for salons, clinics, gyms, tutors, consultants, studios and any business that takes bookings by the hour. One installation runs your own booking platform: onboard unlimited businesses, sell subscription plans, and give every business its own branded booking page, staff calendar, online payments and admin panel. Built on Laravel 12, Filament 5 and Livewire 3.

New in 1.8: update Slotara in one click from the admin panel, install official add-ons as they are released (the Invoices add-on is free), sell add-ons on your subscription plans, and build your own modules without touching Slotara’s code.

Booking page and admin panels work on phones and tablets

Group bookings, client portal, 2FA, analytics, embed widget, REST API, onboarding wizard and demo mode

The public demo runs in demo mode, so you can explore every screen without changing the sample data.

Business Owner (Velvet Chair Studio, salon): owner@velvet-chair.demo / password
Staff (limited permissions): staff@slotara.app / password
Client (My Bookings portal): client@slotara.app / password

Features at a Glance

One-click updates (new in 1.8): new versions install from System → License & Updates. Every release is signature-checked, changed files are backed up first, and anything that fails is rolled back automatically.
Add-on modules (new in 1.8): install official free and paid add-ons as they are released, switch them on and off, update or uninstall them with the data kept. Sell them on your plans or grant one to a single business. A failing module only switches itself off.
Free Invoices add-on (new in 1.8): bookings are invoiced automatically, businesses add tax and create invoices by hand, and customers get a print-ready invoice at a private link.
Build your own modules (new in 1.8): add business pages, admin pages, public pages, booking hooks and scheduled tasks without editing Slotara, starting from the downloadable example module and the Module Development guide.
Booking wizard: service, provider, date and time, details, confirm. Live slot engine, group bookings with seat capacity, virtual sessions with Google Meet, custom questions, iCal invites and self-service cancellation.
Resell it as a SaaS: subscription plans with trials, provider and booking limits, monthly and yearly prices, billed with Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Paddle or Paystack.
Super Admin: manage and impersonate businesses with an audit log, platform stats, email and SMS templates, CMS pages, security settings, GDPR export and database backup.
Business panel: dashboard, bookings, month/week/day calendar, clients, analytics, services, providers with shifts and blocked dates, staff roles.
Form Builder: design the public booking page, pick a theme and brand colour, set the success page, and share a link or embed code.
Payments: pay at booking with Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Paddle or Paystack, verified on the server; cash, card terminal and bank transfer recorded by staff.
Booking URLs: path, subdomain or the business’s own custom domain with one-click verification.
Integrations: Google Calendar two-way sync, Google Meet links, Twilio SMS, queued emails with reminders.
Languages: English, Arabic (RTL), German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Russian and Chinese, all editable in the Translation Dashboard.
Browser installer: upload, open /install and follow the wizard. No Composer or shell access needed.

Extended License: you charge businesses to use it, for example with Slotara’s built-in subscription plans or by selling add-ons on your plans. This is how most Slotara SaaS platforms run.

Both licenses include the full source code, every feature, unlimited businesses, free updates and 6 months of support. Paid add-ons are licensed separately; the Invoices add-on is free.

Changelog

v1.8.4 (13 October 2026)

Security
1. Business sign-up on a paid plan now requires the payment gateway to confirm the payment before the account is created (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Paddle, Paystack)

Improvements
1. Unpaid online checkouts release their time slot after 30 minutes, or right away when the customer leaves the payment page
2. Prices are charged exactly, never rounded up to a gateway minimum

Bug Fixes
1. Updating could stop at a database migration ("Can't DROP 'slot_reservations_provider_id_foreign'")
2. Razorpay sign-ups never completed; the subscription is now authorised on your site with Razorpay Checkout
3. Paddle sign-up checkout now opens (new Client-side token setting)
4. The email cancel link ignored "Allow client cancellation", and past appointments could be cancelled online
5. Cancelling from My Bookings now frees the seat and notifies add-ons; the business's cancellation email links to the dashboard
6. The review step only promises what really happens (approval wait, cancellation when allowed)
7. "No preference" bookings show the assigned provider on the success screen
8. Business owners can add, edit and delete staff and providers again
9. Calendar files use the business's timezone and mark bookings awaiting approval as tentative
10. Seat numbers show only for group slots

v1.8.3 (10 October 2026)

New Features
1. Optional approval for new bookings: bookings start Pending, the customer gets a "request received" email and the confirmation when the business confirms

Bug Fixes
1. Bookings showed the wrong provider in the admin list, details, widgets, calendar popup and analytics
2. "Pay now" could skip payment when the gateway failed to start a checkout; Paddle checkout now opens correctly (new Client-side token setting)
3. Rescheduling showed no time slots for providers using business hours; rescheduled bookings keep payment details and a working cancel link
4. Google Calendar Connect / Disconnect returned an error page for business owners
5. Recording an offline payment re-sent booking emails

v1.8.1 (09 October 2026)

New Features
1. Businesses upgrade or downgrade their own plan from the Subscription page (Stripe and Paystack), with a summary of price difference, proration and timing
2. Two-factor authentication from the Profile page (authenticator app + recovery codes)
3. Profile page for business owners and staff: name, email, photo, password, 2FA and sessions

Improvements
1. One sign-in page: everyone, super admins included, signs in at /login
2. Downgrades that exceed the new plan's limits are blocked; moving to a free plan is scheduled for the end of the paid period
3. Payments page shows step-by-step webhook setup with the full URL, a Copy button and a status badge
4. Searchable currency and timezone dropdowns in the Form Builder, following the admin's allowed lists

Security
1. Stripe, Razorpay, Paddle and Paystack booking webhooks are verified with each business's signing secret; PayPal orders are captured and confirmed before a booking is marked paid

Bug Fixes
1. SMTP Encryption setting (None / SSL / TLS) now works, including port-25 relays; new option for self-signed certificates
2. Clients list GROUP BY error on MySQL
3. Switching accounts no longer ends on a 403 page; staff land on Bookings
4. Missing theme files and icons on the sign-in pages
5. Embedded booking widget shows the business branding

6. Build your own modules: downloadable example module, php artisan module:make and a Module Development guide

3. Updates and module installs never overlap; Slotara updates never touch modules or their data
4. Demo mode locks every module and license change
