TurboRush — Complete HTML5 Top-Down Arcade Racing Game

TurboRush is a polished, arcade-style top-down racing game built 100% with vanilla JavaScript and Canvas 2D — no frameworks, no build step, no server, no external files. Everything (sprites, music, SFX and even the font) is inlined into just two files. Upload and you are live.

Gameplay

8 varied tracks — grass, soil, harbor, desert, neon city nights, snow, lakeside and a desert marathon. Each with its own terrain grip, hazards and landmarks.
6 cars with real stat differences (Speed / Acceleration / Grip / Armor) — 3 starters + 3 unlockable stars-based specials.
7 rival drivers per race with 4 AI skill classes (Rookie / Mid / Pro / Ace). Every rival drives with its own personality — pacing, racing line, mistakes and nitro aggression — so the pack feels alive, not cloned. Harder tracks introduce Ace / Master / Inferno tiers.
Arcade hazards & pickups: nitro boosts with fuel gauge, oil slicks, jump pads, crushing barrels, HP+ repair hearts and shields.
Progression: 3-lap races, 1st/2nd/3rd place star ratings (24 stars total), track unlock chain, per-track records (best score + best lap) saved in localStorage.
Monetization slot: rewarded ad placeholder (“AD x2” doubles your score / unlocks cars) — ready to be wired to your ad SDK. A GameDistribution-ready build with their SDK integrated is included.
Hidden rocket-start mechanic (hold gas on GO!), minimap, wrong-way warning, auto-rescue.

Mobile & Desktop Ready

Full touch controls (multi-touch steering + GAS / BRK / N2O) with a responsive HUD that adapts from small phones to 4K desktops.
Skippable “rotate your device” suggestion in portrait.
Fullscreen toggle available on every screen (button + F key).
Auto-pause when the tab loses focus; stuck-key protection.

Engineering Highlights (quality you can sell)

Fixed-timestep loop with dt clamping, DPR-aware rendering, particle budget caps and defensive localStorage parsing (corrupted saves cannot crash the game).
Music and SFX are fully synthesized with Web Audio — zero audio files to license.
100% offline-capable: no external requests of any kind.
