Twine – Place for Two v2.0.0

Private space for couples. Chat, memories, calendar & more. Twine is a private social network designed exclusively for couples. Think of it as your own secure digital space – just you and your partner.

Twine is a complete, ready-to-launch private space for couples. Think of it as a private social network for two people. One codebase gives you a Flutter mobile app (iOS + Android), a Fastify Node.js backend with a public landing page, and a React admin dashboard. Deploy it as your own subscription SaaS.

Private couples app + social network SaaS. Flutter mobile, Node.js backend, React admin.

Features

Partner Connection

Unique 6-char code. One user shares; the other scans or enters to send a pairing request. One-tap accept.

Shared Memories

Upload multiple photos, write standalone text entries, or link URLs. Add title, description, date, and location.

Attach URLs to any memory. The app auto-scrapes Open Graph metadata to show a rich preview.

Private Chat

Real-time messaging. Supports text, images. Typing indicators, read receipts.

Reactions & Comments

React to any memory with emoji. Threaded comments on every memory. Activity triggers push notifications.

Milestones

Track important moments – first date, first trip. Each shows a live count-up or countdown.

Thinking of You Nudge

Single-tap sends a gentle push notification to your partner. Rate-limited to 3 per hour to keep it special.

Days Together Counter

Prominent home display: days since partnership formed, next anniversary countdown, next milestone.

Daily Mood Tracker

One daily check-in (10-point scale). Both partners see each other’s mood.

Love Notes

Short personal messages sent instantly or scheduled for a future date. Notes can be surprise-hidden until opened.

Shared Calendar

Private calendar for date nights, trips, and important dates. Recurring events, push reminders at configurable lead times.

Shared Wishlist

Gift ideas with title, link, and price. The buyer can privately mark an item as purchased. Surprise intact.

Video Uploads In-App Subscription

Available through the app’s optional in-app subscription. This is an app feature entitlement, not an Envato Regular or Extended license restriction.

Time Capsule In-App Subscription

Available through the app’s optional in-app subscription. Lock any memory until a future date; both partners receive a push notification when it unlocks.

Custom Themes In-App Subscription

Available through the app’s optional in-app subscription. Couples choose a color theme that syncs across both devices.

Data Export In-App Subscription

Available through the app’s optional in-app subscription. Export memories, photos, links, and chat as a ZIP archive from Settings.

Breakup Cooldown

Disconnecting enters a 7-day read-only cooldown window. Partners can reconcile or export data (if their account has the app’s in-app subscription) before permanent deletion.

Account Deletion

Strict App Store compliance. A user deleting their account instantly initiates the partner breakup sequence and wipes their PII.

Admin Dashboard

Internal React web portal. View active users, monitor cronjobs, success & failures, ban abusive users. Includes Ad Management, In-App Purchase toggles, plan/provider sync, landing page store links, and Privacy / Terms for the public site.

Public Landing Page

Served automatically by the backend at your domain root. App Store and Google Play buttons are set from Admin → Settings. Leave a URL empty to show Coming soon.

End-To-End Encryption

Chat, notes, comments, photos, memories, calendar, and wishlist are encrypted on the phones. The server stores ciphertext only. One backup code per couple in Settings → Encryption. Logging out does not change it. A new phone needs that code. A new key needs both partners to accept; old encrypted data then stays locked. Older items from before encryption stay as they were.

Subscriptions & Payments

Stripe, Paddle, and PayPal web checkout, plus native Apple App Store and Google Play Billing via Flutter’s official in_app_purchase package. Enable each channel from Admin; plans map to provider price / store product IDs.

AdMob Monetization

Optional Google AdMob banners on Home and Timeline for free users. Paid subscribers never see ads (enforced server-side). Unit IDs and the master toggle are managed from Admin – no app rebuild to change them.

Flexible Media Storage

Use Cloudflare R2 for scalable object storage, or keep files on your own server with local disk storage – switch with one env variable. No Cloudflare account required if you prefer self-hosted media.

Biometric App Lock

Require Face ID or fingerprint after app in background. Credentials in iOS Secure Enclave / Android Keystore. PIN fallback available.
